CIAA is a distinctive anti-corruption agency in South Asia simultaneously performing the roles of investigator, prosecutor as well as ombudsman--even if Nepal does not have an ombudsman per se. CIAA hears citizens' complaints and documents abuse of authority also.

Founded in 1993, they work for the promotion and protection of media freedom and freedom of expression in Nigeria. The organization provides office space and resources for the Freedom of Information Coalition (FOIC), a civil society coalition that comprises more than 150 organizations.
