Works to protect and strengthen the rights of prisoners by observing prison conditions, providing legal aid to prisoners, and conducting research.
Foundation Earth fosters ideas and proposals that contribute to a sustainable rural development of indigenous and peasant populations. It promotes equitable access to natural resources, land, and territory through an evidence-based research methodology. Their areas of work include food security and sovereignty, women's access to land, and indigenous nations and autonomy, to name a few.
Founded in 1993, it advocates for human rights, good governance and gender equality. One of their current projects is called "Tanzania Paralegal Remand Prisons and Retention Home Project," seeking to address the core problem of prison overcrowding. They also have projects in areas of the environment, biodiversity, and wealth creation.
Its mission is to train lawyers and law professors in Mexico in order to improve the teaching and pratice of law, and ultimately the Mexican justice system as a whole.
It works to expand constitutional governance, pluralism, democracy and respect for human rights in Nigeria through education, advocacy, community mobilization, and counseling. The Center is active in the defense of journalists and press freedom rights.
