2019 World Justice Challenge Applicant - Project Title: The Yaroslavl Case as a Comprehensive Model to Fight Torture
Works to provide legal assistance to victims of abuse at the hands of law enforcement officers and advocates for better enforcement of human right norms and standards in Russia.
It is a non-profit NGO formed by Womens Legal Aid Centre in 1992 as a paralegal unit. It works to create a just society that respects womens and childrens rights; to increase lobbying, advocacy, and monitoring of human rights practices; and to reduce land conflicts among communities of the Arusha region.
DSAWCO works to raise legal awareness, provide job opportunities and educate women and children.
The Danish Institute for Human Rights has been engaged in Nepal since 1996 through various projects.
