The WJP held its Latin America and the Caribbean Rule of Law Conference 2010 on September 8-10, at the Meliá Hotel in Lima, Peru. The Conference was the WJP’s latest multidisciplinary Mainstreaming event in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) and brought together 100 leaders representing 24 countries from around the region.

The three major Rule of Law themes addressed at the Conference in panel discussions were Public Security, Balancing Economic Development and the Environment, and Government Accountability. Conference participants worked together in seven breakout Working Sessions to create multidisciplinary action plans that promote the rule of law across Latin America and the Caribbean.
