It is an international legal research institute that supports the implementation of laws for sustainable development. Their activities include the Climate Law and Governance Initiative and the Peace, Justice, and Governance Programme, to name a few.
Founded in 1962 by the United Nations and the Government of Japan, it promotes the development of criminal justice systems and initiatives for rehabilitation and reintegration. It encourages cooperation mechanisms for the prevention of crime in Asia and the Pacific Region.
It promotes the human rights of people living with, at risk of, or affected by HIV/ AIDS in Canada and internationally through research and analysis, litigation, advocacy, public education, and community mobilization.
Founded in 1987, SALIGAN is a legal resource non-governmental organization doing developmental legal work with women, farmers, workers, the urban poor, the indigenous peoples and local communities. It has more than one hundred (100) partner-organizations all over the country.
