It uses evidence-based programs to promote child and youth rights in Ghana. Their initiatives are centered on juvenile justice and re-integration, economic empowerment, participation in governance, and policy advocacy for children and youth action.
Set up in 1998 and enshrined in the Constitution of Malawi, the Commission makes recommendations about legal reform after consultation with civil society and the people of Malawi. It has made a number of succesful recommendations to develop civil and criminal justice in Malawi.
Works to develop the use and understanding of law, and has worked on a monitoring mechanism for human rights, strategic litigation against mining companies and provides legal assistance to incarcerated persons and their families.
2019 World Justice Challenge Applicant - Project Title: Open Access to Public Legal Information Online Archive of the Kenya Gazettes
It provides universal access to Kenyas public legal information, by monitoring and reporting on the development of jurisprudence for the promotion of the rule of law. It is a member of the Free Access to Law Movement.
Works to help women who have been victims of domestic violence, through surgery programs, financial assistance, community projects, and public policy advocacy.
Works to reduce and raise awareness about family and community violence, and to report cases and develop knowledge around interpersonal violence.
