SINERGIA was founded in 1996 to articulate the efforts of civil society organizations and actors working in the field of social development. Their activities include capacity building and training for members, advocacy programs, and legal advice services for social development organizations.
It is a political prisoner advocacy organization that was formed by former Burmese political prisoners in exile. AAPP provides human rights documentation and transitional justice training for former political prisoners, members of political parties, and civil society organizations.
