Founded in 2002, the organization is managed and staffed by people with disabilities committed to the defense of their rights in Ghana. It promotes access to education and offers capacity building support for all groups and disabled people’s organizations at the grassroots level.
It works to create an inclusive society for individuals with disabilities, implementing programs to improve their health, quality of lives, and well-being, in collaboration with their families and communities.
It was founded in 2011 by a group of feminist Burmese women who confront all forms of discrimination. It works to advance gender equality and women's rights through research, the publication of the Myanmar Feminist Magazine, and by establishing public dialogue with events and workshops throughout the country.
Established after the adoption of the Anti-Terrorism Act of 2001, it is a national coalition of unions, professional associations, faith-based groups, environmental organizations, and civil liberties advocates that protects and promotes human rights and liberties in Canada.
