Sahodri is an NGO run by transsexuals to promote the civil and legal rights of transgender and intersex people. It works to eliminate oppression and exclusion and to prohibit discrimination based on "gender identity or expression".
Founded in 1985, it is a Canadian development charity involved in various community programs, including reproductive and sexual health, gender equality issues, STI, sanitation, water supplies, schools, and leadership programs.
It contributes to improving access to affordable high quality healthcare for all Gambians. Its activities include training and capacity building, development and support of outreach healthcare facilities, reduction of maternal and childhood mortality, and improvement of maternal and child health among others.
The ICF is based in Hong Kong and Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It is organized jointly by the Asia and Pacific Alliance of YMCAs (APAY), the Christian Conference of Asia (CCA), and Bread for the World Germany.
