The Center is dedicated to research and education in areas such as democracy, regional and urban development, and environmental management. It focuses its efforts on analyzing the impact of public policies, the relation between the state and society, and the practices of social, indigenous, and trade union movements.
The National Union of Free Audiovisual of Burkina Faso (UNALFA) is the association of private radio and television of Burkina Faso to work for free media.
It has been working with Afghan refugees, non-Afghan asylum seekers, and IDPs to register them and providing them legal aid. It also works to promote human rights through education, seminars, lectures, symposium, training, workshops, mass media and print media.
Works to defend the rights of all working people, access to fair pay and working rights, along with protecting their civil rights.
WJP Grantee Program Title : Labor and the Rule of Law (2008-2009)
It is a civil society initiative that raises awareness about the importance of passing the Right to Information Law by the Ghanaian government. The coalition, established in 2007, is comprised of eighty organizations located throughout the country.
Fortify Rights works to prevent and remedy human rights violations through technical support for human rights defenders, as well as independent monitoring and advocacy. Their services include on-the-ground training in human rights documentation, legal research, and strategic advocacy support.
