1- 3 July: Lebanon to hold parliament session. The 17-month extension of the parliament mandate was mainly caused by the lawmakers’ failure to reach a new electoral law. Click here to find out more.

3-5 July: AMPLA--the Resources and Energy Law Association and the IBA Energy, Environment, Natural Resources and Infrastructure Law Section (SEERIL) are hosting the Resources and Energy Law Conference South East Asia with the support of the IBA Asia Pacific Regional Forum. The conference will cover topics such as the resources and energy industry in South East Asia, the legal processes of energy and resources work, and the use of arbitration and expert determination in South East Asia. The conference will be held at the Conrad Centennial Singapore and invites private practitioners, counsel, and regulators involved in resources and energy law to attend. Find out more here.

9-11 July: The 3rd International Conference on Disaster Management and Human Health will be held in A Coruna ***, Spain with a focus on reducing risk and improving outcomes. The conference will focus on the threats posed by both natural and human-made disasters and how to best prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters. The conference is organized by the Wessex Institute of Technology in the UK and sponsored by the International Journal of Safety and Engineering. Find out more here.

Rule of Law 'Transitional Justice' Workshop: 17-19 July 2013

The Judge Advocate General Corps will host a Rule of Law “Transitional Justice” Workshop July 17-19 in Washington, DC. It will focus on international reform issues and topics related to transitional justice, as well as a variety of other topics. Find out more here.

24-26 July - Prague, Czech Republic

The effects of ICT on human beings as well as the interaction between ICT, individuals, and society are all within the focus of this conference. Both analyses of interactions and effects are important. Changes in behaviour, perspectives, values, competencies, human and psychological aspects and feelings are all of interest. 27 July- Kuwait Parliamentary Elections

Kuwait says parliamentary elections will take place July 27, two days later than originally scheduled. The vote was called after a court decision dissolved the chamber over flaws in the balloting law. Click here to find out more.

Chief Justice Zondo accepts the World Justice Project Rule of Law Award

WARSAW, Poland – June 12, 2025 – Former South African Chief Justice Raymond Zondo was awarded the prestigious World Justice Project (WJP) Rule of Law Award in recognition of his unwavering commitment to justice and his courageous efforts in exposing systemic corruption. The award was presented by WJP Board Vice President Judy Perry Martinez at the 2025 World Justice Forum, a global gathering of rule of law champions. Polish Minister of Justice Adam Bodnar, a prior recipient of the award in 2019, made accompanying remarks.
