The WJP Rule of Law Index is the world’s leading source of original, independent data on the rule of law. This year’s edition will cover 142 countries and jurisdictions, assess rule of law conditions for 95% of the world’s population, and include two new countries—Kuwait and Montenegro.

The award was presented by WJP Board Vice President Judy Perry Martinez at the 2025 World Justice Forum, a global gathering of rule of law champions.
