Mario joined the World Justice Project in Mexico City after obtaining his Master of Public Policy degree from the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin, where he focused on policy analysis, control of corruption and quantitative methods. He also holds a holds a B.A. in Communication Sciences from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, where he specialized in Political Communication. His professional experience includes working in international media analysis for the Mexican Government for three years and an internship at the Communication and Outreach Programme in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
