Horacio Ortiz is a Senior Researcher in the Access to Justice team.
Horacio is a sociologist specializing in quantitative methods of social research. He has worked as a consultant researcher for various Human Rights organizations in Latin America, including the Inter-American Court of Human Rights and the National Commission of Human Rights (Mexico). Before joining WJP, he worked as a Senior Researcher in Data Lab Mx, a civil society organization developing information systems for local governments in Mexico.
Horacio holds a PhD. in Social Science from The College of Mexico, an MSc in Social Science from the Latin American School of Social Science, and a B.A. in Sociology from the National University of Mexico. He has published peer-reviewed research in international journals covering the topics of corruption, criminal justice, public security and Human Rights.
