David Steuer is an American trial lawyer. He has been recognized in Best Lawyers in America as a leading litigator in the fields of intellectual property, securities litigation, and commercial litigation. A part of Mr. Steuer’s practice has been the pro bono representation of disadvantaged groups, including a class of prison inmates at California’s Pelican Bay State Prison. That lawsuit and trial led to significant reforms addressing medical neglect and brutality against prisoners.
Mr. Steuer has for many years served on the Board of Directors of Bay Area Legal Aid, the primary provider of legal services to underserved communities in the San Francisco Bay Area.
