Intern, Communications

Sophie Lewis joined the World Justice Project in June 2025 as a Communications Intern. In this role, she reviews and summarizes data to draft success stories, narrating WJP’s impacts. She is eager to advance outreach, awareness, and action at WJP through research, strategic communications, and more!

Previously, Sophie interned with the North Carolina Life Study as a research assistant leading the development of new outreach guidelines, strategies, and materials to promote research on adolescent health risks and systemic racism. More recently, Sophie began working as a Case Advisor at UC Davis's Student Advocate Office where she supports students ensuring that they know their rights, have access to campus resources, and experience fair misconduct evaluation and disciplinary processes.

Sophie is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Sociology at the University of California, Davis, anticipating graduation in the Spring of 2026 with minors in communications, human rights studies, and professional writing. Committed to spreading awareness and stimulating action regarding unequitable access to justice, opportunities, and resources, she is thrilled to apply both her experiential and academic backgrounds to her work developing success stories and spreading knowledge about to rule of law at WJP.
