The Millennium Foundation is an independent think tank that seeks the creation of a democratic, plural, and integrated society. It is focused on the production and dissemination of knowledge concerning economic, social, and environmental challenges, as well as promoting public debate to improve national public policies.

The Munasim Kullakita Foundation is an initiative of the El Alto diocese of the Catholic Church to prevent sexual violence and exploitation in La Paz and El Alto. FUNDESA is an independent and private entity created in 1984 by a group of businessmen and entrepreneurs to foster economic, social, and sustainable development. Their mission is to contibute to the strengthening of a market based economy and the rule of law in Guatemala through research and initiatives such as Mejoremos Guate (Let's Improve Guatemala) and Encuentro Nacional por el Desarrollo (National Convening for Deveopment).

It is the local chapter of Transparency International, working for the improvement of the democratic system through citizen participation. Their activities are focused on strengthening accountability and transparency mechanisms and the reduction of corruption.
