Insights from the WJP Rule of Law Index ® 2020 - 2024
In Human Rights in Thailand: Insights from the WJP Rule of Law Index 2020–2024, the World Justice Project draws on data from the WJP Rule of Law Index (2020–2024) to examine Thailand’s performance on governance, civic participation, and core human rights principles.
The report presents a comprehensive analysis of Thailand’s rule of law trends over the past decade, with particular attention to civil and political rights, due process, labor and property rights, and fundamental freedoms. It also situates Thailand’s performance in a regional context, comparing results with peer countries in Southeast Asia.
Organized into thematic chapters, the publication highlights key developments, tracks changes over time, and uses WJP’s original Index data to inform policymakers, advocates, and researchers working to strengthen human rights protections in Thailand.
