Tom Dery’s career encompasses Marketing Services, Airlines, and Tourism industries. Tom has been involved in Not For Profits throughout his career. Tom founded the marketing services company M&C Saatchi in the Asia Pacific region, and appointed Chairman of the Worldwide network in 2009. Tom retired from M&C Saatchi in 2019.

Earlier in his career his airline experience included Qantas and Ansett Airlines. He chaired the publicly listed Helloworld 2008 to 2014.

Tom is currently the Chairman of Australian Cancer research Foundation. Formerly he chaired AIME, Queenwood School, Sydney Dance Company, and sat on the Strategy and Risk Committee of Sydney University.

Tom holds a Commerce Degree (UNSW), an MBA (Stanford), and was a Resident Fellow at Harvard in 2015. In June 2015 Tom was awarded an Order of Australia by the Australian government:

“For distinguished service to the not-for-profit sector, particularly to cancer research, through the development of corporate governance structures and major fundraising initiatives, to the performing arts, and to business.”
