Ruby Grimes joined the World Justice Project in September of 2025 as an Access to Justice Intern. She will graduate from the University of California, San Diego in December 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts in Literature/Writing and a minor in Law & Society.
Ruby’s prior experience working with a San-Diego-based non-profit providing pro-bono legal services inspired her passion of advocating for civil liberties and improving access to justice at a grassroots level. Additionally, having researched the intersection of the EB-5 foreign investor visa program with the creation of sustainable and equitable employment opportunities for disadvantaged communities in San Diego, she learned the importance of understanding the background of law, policy, and their quantitative impacts.
With these experiences, Ruby is honored to contribute to the Access to Justice team, advocating for the advancement of the Rule of Law at a global level.
