Annie Koruga

Annie Koruga is a senior at the University of California, Berkeley and is excited to be joining the World Justice Project on the Rule of Law Index team for the Fall 2025 semester. They study political science and hope to begin law school in fall 2026. Annie completed their Senior Undergraduate Honors Thesis at UC Berkeley on violence committed by law enforcement officials in the criminal legal system. They are passionate about using data and research to create more materially just and equitable societies. 

Prior to joining the World Justice Project, Annie worked at the California Fair Political Practices Commission as a Cal-in-Sacramento Fellow, at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission as a Schaeffer Fellow, and in the California State Legislature with Equality California. Annie is also active in the policy-making space, having recently completed their term as the Vice President of Legislative Affairs for the Student Senate of California Community Colleges.
