Mr. Mark Tran was appointed correspondent for the Guardian's Global development site in June 2011. He previously worked as a correspondent for the Guardian in Washington (1984-90) and New York (1990-99). Upon his return to London he covered business, domestic and international news for the website and the paper until his present position.
