Leading Organizations

The Equality LGBT Foundation works to defend the human rights of LGBT individuals and groups. It offers legal counseling and support, healthcare services for HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted disease prevention, and promotes sexual and reproductive rights.

It is a multisectoral association comprised of 25 members from the private and public sectors, as well as universities, NGO's, and grassroots organizations. The Network uses ICT to advance sustainable development, agriculture, education, governance, and gender equity.

Founded in 2006, INESAD fosters a social and economic transformation in Bolivia using a multidisciplinary perspective that combines evidence-based research, dissemination of information, and education and training programs for the public. Initiatives include Network Employment, Income and Production, and the SimPachamama tool, to name a few.

ITEI is a human rights and mental health organization that supports the rehabilitation of victims of torture and different forms of state violence. It offers healthcare services such as psychotherapy and legal assistance in cases of discrimination. It also advocates for the prevention of torture and provides workshops in prisons and juvenile detention centers.

It is an initiative of the Solón Foundation with a mission to analyze the new investment trends in the region, most notably with a focus on Chinese investment in Bolivia.

The Munasim Kullakita Foundation is an initiative of the El Alto diocese of the Catholic Church to prevent sexual violence and exploitation in La Paz and El Alto. It provides shelter for victims and works with the community in the prevention of sexual exploitation of vulnerable children from a transdisciplinary approach.

PCCS works to advance citizen participation and civil society accountability through collaborative proposals and partnerships that contribute to a just and equitable society. Their activities are focused on strengthening participatory public administration mechanisms and governance.

Founded in 2008 and based in Santa Cruz, the New Democracy Foundation is dedicated to the promotion of democratic values through research and civic education. It advances the rule of law and promotes equality and fundamental rights and freedoms. Programs include leadership workshops for young people and women, as well as the Bolivian Observatory of Human Rights.

The Observatory monitors and analyzes data, laws, and testimonies to promote a debate concerning gender equity. It works in the following five areas: access to justice and violence against women; political participation and legislative agenda; women's access to land; gender and migration; and gender, communication, and media.

It seeks to strengthen citizen participation in social networks and create an connection between digital journalism and social activism. It is comprised of Bolivian journalists and cyberactivists that encourage public accountability and transparency in the government through initiatives such as DataBo, Jaqui Aru, and the Platform for Journalists and Activists.

It is comprised of approximately fifty organizations and civil society groups that seek to address violence against women by fostering access to justice and public services, specifically in cases of violence and human trafficking. The Alliance has a presence in all the departments of Bolivia and monitors the implementation of public policies through research and advocacy activities.

GTCCJ is comprised of several non-profit Bolivian institutions that work on climate change from a legal and ecological approach. It's headquarters are based in Santa Cruz with additional regional offices in Cochabamba, Chuquisaca, Camiri, La Paz, and Oruro.

It encourages public debate and social accountability through academic activities such as forums, research, and the dissemination of information through publications. Additionally, it advocates for fundamental rights and sustainable development.

It works to advance access to justice in Santa Cruz, offering legal and psychological assistance to vulnerable women and children experiencing violence.
