Intern, Rule of Law Index

Giacomo D’Urbano joined the World Justice Project in October 2021 and is part of the Qualified Respondent Questionnaire (QRQ) team. Born and raised in Rome, Italy, he graduated from Queens College in New York with a B.A. in Political Science and a double minor in Latin American Studies and Honors in the Social Sciences. His senior honors thesis focused on clientelistic practices within Venezuelan social programs during the Chávez regime. 

He volunteers as part of the research and writing team for the Renew Democracy Initiative, a nonprofit based in NYC that promotes democratic values. This past summer he worked on the policy research team for New York State Senator John Brooks, where he authored a report on veterans’ educational benefits.
