Tomas Kvedaras joined the UNDP Bangkok Regional Hub to work with the FairBiz and JIN ASEAN teams in 2022. Prior to that, he was based in Jordan, where he supported UNDP Governance and Peace Pillar implementing various decentralization, local development, government integrity, and accountability-related programs. From 2016 to 2019, he coordinated UN Volunteers Office in Amman and provided strategic guidance to the UNV Field Units in the Arab States, Europe, and the CIS region. Prior to joining the United Nations, he served as a diplomat in Lithuania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and EU’s External Action Service, including in missions to the UN Security Council and Afghanistan. Tomas holds Master’s degrees in Diplomacy and International Economic Relations from the University of Nottingham and Corvinus University of Budapest.
