Regina Pajares Carrillo is an afro peruvian woman, mother, activist and lawyer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. She is a lawyer with expertise in Intellectual Property and Human Rights Law, and with experience in private practice and public service. She has been part of Negrocentricxs and The Network of Afro Diasporic Women in Santiago de Chile. With said organizations she has advocated for human rights of people with african descent, specially migrants with african descent in Chile. She has served as a professor for women of african descent in Chile regarding their rights in workshops, and has represented Negrocentricxs as a civil society group in dialogues with governmental institutions and other feminists organizations in order to create visibility on the issues that women with african descent face in Chile specially on how sistemic racism operates regarding the access to public health. Since 2020 she has been working as a legal director in ODRI- Office for the Defense of Right and Intersectionality, an organization based in Peru that works to promote an intersectional approach to human rights and public policies.
