Pilar Domingo is a Senior Research Fellow in the Politics and Governance team at ODI. She joined ODI in 2009. Previously, she held academic posts at the Institute for the Study of the Americas of the University of London, the University of Salamanca in Spain, Queen Mary University of London, and at the CIDE in Mexico. Her research includes the political economy of rule of law, legal empowerment, and access to justice; customary justice and legal pluralism; transitional justice, peacebuilding, and transition politics in fragile and conflict-affected settings; gender justice and the Women, Peace, and Security agenda. Since joining ODI, Pilar’s work has focused on reviewing international policy, programming, and practice in these areas. She leads on the rule of law and justice work at ODI.
