Kamala Poudel is a self-advocate for the rights of persons with psychosocial disabilities. Drawing from her own lived experience, Ms. Poudel supports adults and children with psychosocial disabilities to realize their rights, reach their potential, and participate fully and equally in society. Ms. Poudel works as a Program Officer with KOSHISH, a national mental health self-help organization/organization of persons with disability in Nepal. Ms. Poudel has witnessed first-hand the critical support provided by organizations of persons with disability, and credits the support received from KOSHISH as giving her renewed hope and courage to live life once again.
