Jasminka has been the Executive Director of ESE since 1998, where she previously worked as coordinator of the legal program since 1996. She graduated from the Justinian Primus Faculty of Law in Skopje. As the Executive director of ESE, Jasminka works in several areas, including engaging citizens in the process of planning, implementation, and evaluation of legal regulations, budgets, and services; capacity building of civil society organizations (CSOs) and respective governmental institutions to engage citizens in these processes; improving the health status of women and Roma; improving access to labour active measures for women; ensuring equal access to justice through capacity building of CSOs in introducing alternative mechanisms for provision of legal assistance and support; enabling access to justice for poor and vulnerable communities, especially Roma and women who suffered domestic violence; collecting people-centered justice data in order to facilitate access to justice; preparing functional analysis of Public Prosecutor Offices, Appellate Courts and Supreme Court from a gender perspective; promotion of fiscal transparency of public institutions and raising their level of awareness; and monitoring the transparency, accountability and effectiveness of the independent bodies such as the Commission for Protection against Discrimination.
