Christie R. Jones is the Executive Director of the International Association of Women Judges, a non-profit, non-governmental organization that brings together judges from all levels of the judiciary worldwide united by their commitment to equal justice and the rule of law. A multilingual expert on gender and racial equity in peacemaking and peacebuilding, Ms. Jones is a doctoral candidate at the Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution where her research focuses on peace as defined by marginalized communities; racialized and gendered violence; and the role of minoritized civil society groups in peacemaking. She served as the School’s James H. Laue Memorial Endowed Scholar from 2018 to 2019. Ms. Jones holds a Master of Science degree in Peace Operations Policy from George Mason University and is an alumna of Bennett College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
