Betty Barkha (Board Member, CIVICUS Alliance) is a Fijian researcher with over a decade of experience in research, advocacy and development across the Pacific and Asia. She has been involved with various development organisations in Asia and the Pacific region since 2009. Betty also serves as an advisor to FRIDA Young Feminist Fund and the Global Resilience Fund. She holds Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in Arts and is currently in her final year of PhD at Monash University with the Centre for Gender, Peace and Security (Monash GPS). Betty is the inaugural co-chair of the IWDA Board of Directors and Technical Advisor on Environment and Climate Change to FHI 360.


Betty Barkha is one of the judges for the World Justice Challenge Competition and she will participate in the World Justice Forum working session The Law’s Role in Protecting the Most Vulnerable Populations from Climate Change and the World Justice Challenge Award Ceremony and Closing Plenary
