Seth A. Davis was Chair of the American Bar Association's Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources ("SEER.") for the 2016-7 ABA year.  Seth is a partner in Elias Group LLP, in Rye, New York, co-chairing the firm’s environmental and energy practice since 2004. He handles a wide variety of environmental issues arising out of a wide range of corporate and real estate transactions, regularly represents responsible parties in site remediation and cleanup negotiations, and counsels corporate and individual clients on compliance with all the environmental statutes. Since 1980, Seth has practiced in just about every area of environmental, health, and safety law in both law firms and corporate legal departments.  He has been involved—both willingly and unwillingly--in a wide variety of matters with precedent setting environmental issues.

Seth is an Adjunct Professor at Pace University Law School, teaching courses in Environmental Law in Commercial Transactions and Hazardous Waste. Seth received his J.D. from Harvard University in 1975, and his B.A., Summa cum laude, in 1972 from Wesleyan University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.  HE serves on the board of directors of Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, Inc., started in 1966 by folksinger Pete Seeger to call attention to environmental threats to the Hudson and other rivers.  His non-legal passions include opera, classical music, horse racing, and supporting sports teams on three continents.

Seth Davis will participate in the World Justice Forum working session Legal Tools for Advancing Environmental Justice and Public Health.
