Landesa, as secretariat of a global campaign on women’s land rights, is working in partnership with global development and civil society organizations to close the gap between laws and practice so that millions of women in countries around the world have access to and can benefit from their legal land rights. This means breaking down barriers—from weak implementation of policies and insufficient capacity and political will, to lack of awareness, understanding or access to legal services—that prevent women from realizing their land rights.
