Naw Maureen Kolay manages and supports MyJustice’s projects on rights and legal awareness, community-based service provision, paralegal programming, in partnership with International Non-Government Organisations (INGOs) and local Civil Society Organisations (CSOs). She arranges various capacity building initiatives to enhance the staff of partner organisations to ensure targeted communities receive legal knowledge that is customiszd to the local context. 

She has over 15 years’ experience working with community-based organisations, local development organisations and civil society organisations in different parts of the country through development programmes, humanitarian response operations, civil society strengthening in Myanmar. From 2013 to 2017 she led the British Council’s Amatae programme, and joined MyJustice in 2017 initially as Grants Manager, before moving to work on community empowerment.


Ms. Maureen will be part of delegation team of the British Council and will be taking part in a working session titled ‘Scaling the Wall: Creative Communications to Overcome Silence about Injustice in Myanmar.'
