Sarah McCoubrey is the founder of CALIBRATE, a consultancy where she works with small and large organizations to tackle access to justice challenges internationally, nationally, and locally. She completed a Juris Doctor in Law and Masters of Education in Canada. Sarah practiced law in Toronto, followed by 10 years leading a civil-society organization devoted to justice education and innovation. In 2015 Sarah founded CALIBRATE, a consultancy providing access to justice and change management strategy to UN agencies and national and non-profit organizations. She brings futures analysis and strategic thinking to complex analysis, project design, implementation, and evaluation. Her international work focuses on the rule of law, gender and equality initiatives, technology, and systemic changes in the legal sector. She has been the Strategic Advisor to the Canadian Action Committee on Access to Justice in Civil and Family Matters since 2015. She has worked around the world on people-centered approaches to strengthening the rule of law through new technologies and new processes. Sarah has been recognized as an Access to Justice Champion and received the Peter Cory Community Leadership Award.
