Mauricio Alarcón Salvador is the Executive Director of Fundación Ciudadanía y Desarrollo, the national contact for Transparency International in Ecuador. He is a lawyer with a master's degree in Public Management and Direction, as well as in Political Action, Institutional Strengthening and Citizen Participation in the Rule of Law. He was an alternate member of the National Constituent Assembly of Ecuador and a constitutional advisor to the Council for Citizen Participation. Mauricio was also a Fellow at the Center for Democracy, Development and the Rule of Law at Stanford University. Prior to that he was a Consultant for national and international organizations on issues of human rights, freedom of expression, access to information, citizen participation, transparency and the fight against corruption.
