Marriët Schuurman is Director of Stability and Humanitarian Aid in the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Previously, she acted as the Human Rights Ambassador of the Ministry and coordinated the Dutch membership of the UN Security Council in 2018. Between 2014 and 2017, she served as NATO’s Special Representative for Women, Peace and Security, and until 2014, as the Dutch Ambassador to the Republic of North Macedonia.
