Julie Couturier has been a member of the Paris Bar since 1995. She holds a master's degree in general private law from Paris I and was sworn in on 1 March 1995. She started as an associate at Roubache and Moiron-Braud. In 1996, she became an associate at Fischer, Tandeau de Marsac, Sur & Associés from 1996 to the end of 2003 before becoming a partner from 2004 to 2017. She is now a partner of JCD Avocats, a law firm specialising in enforcement, property and real estate law. Julie Couturier is an honorary member of the French Young Lawyers Federation - FNUJA. She was also a member of the Bar Council from 2009 to 2011 and was the secretary of the Paris Bar Council under President Jean Castelain in 2011. In 2003, she joined the board of directors of the association Droit & Procédure, which she chaired from 2013 to 2015. She provides numerous training courses on enforcement procedures and in particular leads the "Enforcement procedures" course at the EFB. Since 2007, she has also been co-leading the workshop on enforcement proceedings at the Campus Paris organised by the Paris Bar. Julie Couturier has been elected President of the Paris Bar for the 2022-2023 term.
