Jane Meriwas

Jane Naini Meriwas is the Executive Director of Samburu Women Trust in Kenya. She holds a BA in Community Development, undergraduate in Gender Development. She is a community development practitioner, feminist, mentor and has been a women's human rights defender for more than 20 years. She is dedicated to advancing women and girls' rights among indigenous communities, at policy development, governance and implementation. She is a former Senior Fellow with the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights.
