Action Democracy is a movement of people who undertake coordinated actions to achieve a better and fairer society. It uses technology and communication tools to promote democracy and the rule of law, civic participation, social justice, respect for human rights, and the protection of the environment.

It promotes access to justice for low-income individuals by providing free legal aid services in cases of child support, custody, domestic violence, refugees' rights, and criminal charges. It is independent but is publicly funded and a publicly accountable corporation.

Internet Platform set up by Transparency International to allow citizens to report cases of corruption or malpractice by politicians.

Works to regulate the administration of penitentiaries through supervision and development of guidelines for the treatment of prisoners in accordance with European standards.

Works to give access to education, health and work to marginalised youths, women and villages through innovative procedures defined by citizens.

Works to investigate allegations of torture and promote the abolishing of torture, along with fighting against overpopulation in detention centres.

Works to abolish torture, but specifically on police violence in France, producing reports and lobbing for policy action on police violence.

Solidarity Action contributes to the reduction of the social impact of HIV/AIDS in Venezuela by offering comprehensive responses in the areas of prevention, care, and public advocacy. It protects the human rights of people with HIV/AIDS, their partners, and families.

Action for Freedom is a citizens' initiative that promotes human rights through cultural and educational activities. They advocate for the rights of freedom of expression, freedom of opinion, and personal freedom to contribute towards the strengthening of a democratic society in Venezuela.

Citizen Action is the Guatemalan chapter of Transparency International. Their mission is to achieve a democratic and corruption free Guatemala by fostering conscious and committed citizens to promote transparency in public administration. Their Anticorruption Legal Assistance program (ALAC) provides legal support for citizens denouncing corruption in Guatemala.

2019 World Justice Challenge Applicant - Project Title: Strategic Litigation to Promote Rights of Marginalized Drug Users
Created in 1992 with a social justice and human rights mission, Action Andean Bolivia monitors public policy on drugs and works directly with communities affected by these policies. It undertakes action research and works with citizen coalitions, academic networks, and private or public organizations to advance public policy reforms and decriminalization of use.

Access to Justice is an independent and private civil association founded in 2010 by a group of Venezuelans committed to the defense of justice, the rule of law, the separation of powers, judicial independence, democracy, freedom, and human rights in Venezuela.

It is dedicated to increase the number of women elected to political office in Canada as a means to strengthen their democratic participation. It encourages, supports, and defends elected women, and also provides the necessary tools for women to run for office.

The Center’s sphere of activity covers all fields of human rights law. Center’s activities mostly focus on women’s human rights, domestic and international human rights protection mechanisms, anti-discrimination, minority rights, refugee rights, freedom of expression and internet freedoms, access to justice and judiciary, human rights education and human rights activism.

IHOP works on various issue areas including access to justice, human rights, and Inpunity.

Initially established by the relatives of prisoners following the 1980 coup, IHD works on abolishing death penalty and DGM (State Security Court) and torture. IHD works on freedom of expression, finding disappeared persons, collects signatures for persons that expelled from their positions, and demands equal opportunities for disabled persons.

Its mission is to ensure that IFI's effectively implement policies of transparency, that communities participate in decision making processes, and that development finance guarantees environmental and human rights protections.

Officially registered in 2016 with the assistance of the International Bar Association’s Human Rights Institute (IBAHRI), it is the first national professional organization of lawyers in the country. Its mission is to build the capacity of the legal profession and to promote and protect the rights of the people in Myanmar.

It aims to create an independent research culture in Myanmar through the promotion of evidence-based policy making and access to data and information. Their current projects include research on access to justice (informal and customary justice systems) and qualitative monitoring of social and economic factors, to name a few.

It is an independent resource, training, and education center that supports the peace process and the development of democratic institutions in Burma. They seek to achieve a sustainable peace through engagement with civil society and different stakeholders.

It strives to create a space for cooperation and collaboration among justice providers and communities through increasing legal knowledge and awareness of rights. It offers assistance for justice institutions, service providers, and civil society organizations.

Formed by former political prisoners and members of the 88 Generation Students Group, its mission is to defend democracy and the rights to information, education, and knowledge. Their initiatives include monitoring of Parliament and providing local governance training for representatives of ethnic states and divisions within Myanmar.
