Director of Development, Public Philanthropy

Rebecca Billings is the Director of Development, Public Philanthropy for the World Justice Project.  Prior to joining WJP, Ms. Billings served for ten years as a foreign affairs officer for the United States Department of State in Washington, D.C.  During her time with the Department of State, she held a variety of positions including working as the human rights officer at the U.S. Embassy in Quito, Ecuador; running anti-human trafficking grants and programs in Europe and Asia; managing criminal justice reform programs in southern Europe and Afghanistan; and assisting Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice with her overseas travel.  She has also worked in Chicago for an independent retail enterprise and a public relations firm.    

Ms. Billings graduated with both a M.A. and a B.A. in humanities from Brigham Young University and is originally from Seattle, Washington.
