Ms. Afua Ofosu-Barko is the Chief Administrative Officer for The World Justice Project. Prior to joining WJP, Ms. Ofosu-Barko spent over thirteen years working for John Snow, Inc. (JSI), a major contractor for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), in various roles managing operations and compliance for large scale international development projects. Most recently, she served as the Transition Manager for USAID’s multi- billion dollar Supply Chain Management System (SCMS) project, where she managed all efforts- from strategic planning to operational closeout- related to transitioning activities to the follow-on contract mechanism. She spent several years working in financial management, including two years in Ethiopia as the Operations & Finance manager for a maternal and child health project, and two years as the SCMS Finance Manager. She also has over a decade of experience in proposal development, with a focus on cost proposals.
Ms. Ofosu-Barko graduated with both an M.A in Sociology and a B.A. in International Relations from Stanford University. Originally from Ghana, she spent her formative years growing up in the Caribbean, and has had the pleasure to call several different countries “home” at various points in her life.
