Intern

Sophie Walsh joined the World Justice Project in June 2020 as a summer intern. She is a rising senior at Riverdale Country School. At school, Sophie is the President of the Riverdale Community Partners Club whose members volunteer at a local center that provides educational and emotional support to children who have experienced emotional trauma. She also loves playing sports and is the Captain of the basketball and volleyball teams at her school. Sophie has previously interned for several politicians including US Congressman Eliot Engel, NY State Assemblyman Steve Otis, and NY City Council Candidate Dan Padernacht. During these internships, she helped constituents navigate immigration and social security matters, managed a voter database software, tracked daily media mentions, and outlined political speeches. Sophie is passionate about using law to promote global equity and justice and is particularly interested in advancing women’s rights globally.
